This film screening featured George Clooney's "Sand and Sorrow." Speakers Bob and Paulette Cooper of the Dallas Peace Center spoke about their experiences in Darfur visiting last April with Thirst No More, a Texas non-profit that drills wells and repairs water pumps in Darfur. Defend Darfur Dallas director Laura McCarthy spoke of recent events regarding the ICC's indictment of Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir. We displayed a Tent of Hope, and held a petition-signing!
