Leaders of GI-Net, Save Darfur, STAND, Enough, and other groups come together to give lectures, host workshops, and lobby at this upcoming conference in Washington, D.C.
| | Thursday December 10th, 2009 Doors open at 6:30 pm; film at 7 pm | Human Rights Day Movie Night: "The Reckoning"
DDD is hosting a movie night at the Dallas Holocaust Museum featuring POV's "The Reckoning," a documentary about the International Criminal Court. We will have an international affairs attorney speak briefly after the film, and have a question and answer session. | | Early December 2009 | National Canvass
We will be part of a national petition-signing campaign in early December for one week. We will need all the volunteers we can get! | | March 20th, 2010 7p.m. | "Darfur Calls" DDD and Amnesty International will co-sponsor this play about about Darfur and a Texas woman whose indifference typifies the American response to the genocide. The play will take place at SMU's Hughes-Trigg Student Center, and will feature the Dallas Black Dance Theater. | | April 17th, 2010 | Art for Darfur SMU's Amnesty International Chapter hosts their 4th annual silent art auction at SMU's Meadows Building for the Arts. DDD volunteers are welcome!
